Melanie has served on the board of directors of several organizations and universities, including Spelman College, Georgia College and State University, Emory University Rollins School of Public Health, and Community Health Charities of Georgia.
She served as the Chairperson of the Fulton County Land Bank Authority and is a Director of the National Black MBA Association Atlanta Chapter. She supports diversity, equity, and neuroinclusion in the workplace, and runs a company that consists of a majority of female employees and employees of color with a range of neurodiversities. She is also close to the world of learning disabilities and a role model to those struggling in the academic and business environments. She was able to overcome her own struggles with ADHD and dyslexia and use them as strengths and opportunities, rather than weaknesses or threats. Melanie is available for speaking engagements that align with her business leadership and her views on diversity, equity, neuroinclusion, and learning disabilities.
